Shoaib Akhtar Names Indian Batsman Who Could Not Play Him

It is a known fact that Shoaib Akhtar was one of the most terrorizing pacers of his time. The Rawalpindi Express was a sheer pace bowling machine that consistently over 90 miles per hour and some times even 100.

Recently in an instagram live session with sports presenter Zainab Abbas, Akhtar spoke about some of the Indian batsmen who he a good rapport with. While, also talking about the one batsman who he thought had a trouble facing his bowling.

Shoaib Akhtar’s ‘Dildar’ buddy

As per Shoaib Akhtar’s claim, the speedster had a healthy relation with Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag.

Sachin Tendulkar is a very close friend of mine. He is a tremendous guy and very humble as well. Not many know this but Virender Sehwag is dildaar aadmi.

However, he did manage to point out that the former Indian skipper, Sourav Ganguly did have a problem facing him.

That being said, Shoaib Akhtar also went onto to say that in spite being rivals on the field, he got along with the counterpart and event went for dinner. Not to forget the duo were a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the early years of the IPL.

Sourav Ganguly didn’t manage me well. He couldn’t play my bowling well. But we all used to go for dinner after the match.

Shoaib’s suggestion

Shoaib Akhtar was an entertainer on the field and now his quirky comments post his retirement still makes him a treat to watch and hear at times. The former Pakistani pacer recently suggested that an Indo-Pak series could be used to raise funds in order to battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shahid Afridi also came on to support Shoaib Akhtar, whereas, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev and Zaheer Khan didn’t think that it was a viable option.

The last time the two cricketing nations met was in the ICC Cricket World Cup of 2019 in England. It was the Men in Blue who yet again emerged as the winners in the cup competition against Pakistan.
