Australia Playing 11 – Australia got off their summer to the perfect start, as they thrashed England by nine wickets in the first of the five tests in the Ashes 2021-22. Pat Cummins, who was appointed the captain of Australia led his troops brilliantly and secured a dominating win over Joe Root’s England.
Australia will miss the services of the tall pacer, Josh Hazelwood who has been rules out of the second Test due to a side injury. David Warner’s participation is still in doubt, given the fact that he suffered a bruised rib during the first Test.

David Warner and Marcus Harris are expected to continue batting at the top of the order. Marnus Labuschagne scored a brilliant 70 in the first innings at the Gabba, and will bat at number three. Steven Smith will walk out to bat at number four.
Travis Head scored 152 in the first Test against England, and will hope to carry his form into the next Test. Alex Carey and Cameron Green form the lower middle order. Nathon Lyon is again expected to be the sole spinner for the Aussies. Jhye Richardson, Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins will form the pace attack.
