Adam Zampa AUS vs SL: In a massive breaking news development, Australia’s premier leg-spinner Adam Zampa has reportedly shown symptoms of COVID-19 ahead of their second game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 against Sri Lanka on 25 October, 2022 at the Perth Stadium in Perth. Defending champions Australia did not had the best of starts to their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign as they suffered a poor 89-run defeat at the hands of New Zealand in their opening encounter.
Cricket Australia (CA) has confirmed that Adam Zampa has tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022 encounter against Sri Lanka and that has put some serious doubts over his participation in the crucial game. As per the International Cricket Council (ICC) guidelines for this mega event, a player tested positive for Covid-19 can play the match. In case, the Australian team management decide not to risk Zampa for the game against Lanka on Tuesday, then left-arm spinner Ashton Agar will most likely be part of the playing 11. During the previous match against New Zealand, Adam Zampa picked up the crucial wicket of Kane Williamson and has been a consistent wicket-taker for Aussies in white-ball cricket.
