Australia vs West Indies 2nd Test: The 2nd Test match between Australia and West Indies will start on 8 December 2022 at the Adelaide Oval, Adelaide. It is going to be a Day-Night Test Match. The pitch at the Adelaide Oval has been good for batters in the beginning of the Test. Still, it is a pink-ball Test match and pacers will enjoy bowling with the bright pink ball. Over the years, Australia has dominated every opposition in Day/Night Tests, and they have never lost a Pink Ball Test Match.

Further, the Adelaide weather on the first day of the Test match (Thursday) is predicted to be around 25 degrees Celsius maximum. According to the Weather Channel, the weather will be partly cloudy. Winds south-westerly 30 to 40 km/h turning southerly 25 to 35 km/h in the evening.

Only on 4th & 5th day chances of rain are 70% & 40% respectively, that too only passing showers during the morning.

Steve Smith to be back as Australia Captain

Steve Smith is going to be back as Australian Test Captain for the second test match after Pat Cummins is ruled out with quadricep strain. In the first test match Steve Smith scored a fantastic double hundred and helped Australia to win the test match. The Aussie pacer, Pat Cummins suffered a quadricep strain and was out of action on the final day of the first test match.
It is going to be an exciting challenge for both the teams to play with the pink ball, West Indies both the openers Kraigg Brathwaite and Tagenarine Chanderpaul displayed strong character against Australian pacers in the first test match. Whichever team bats well will have more chances to win this test match.
