AUS Playing 11: Australia will face Bangladesh in the first T20I here at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. Australia are coming off a ODI series win in West Indies. But they lost their last T20I series to West Indies 4-1. With T20 World Cup not far away, this might be a perfect situation for Australia to get their best eleven. They will be without several important players and will rely on youngsters. This will be the first bilateral T20I series between these sides. All previous 4 meetings have been in T20 World Cups, with Australia winning all of them.

Team News

  • Australia will be without their captain Aaron Finch for this series who has been ruled out due to knee injury. Matthew Wade will lead the side.

Australia are playing with a young team but have plenty of talent. Matthew Wade will look to use his experience at the top in the absence of Finch. Mitchell Marsh has been in excellent form in West Indies and he will be crucial with both bat and ball. Ashton Turner will look to seal the finisher’s spot. Australia are likely to field both Zampa and Ashton Agar as pitch is likely to aid spinners. Starc and Hazlewood will pose a tough challenge to Bangladesh batters at the top.
