BBL Schedule: The Big Bash League has been one of the most celebrated T20 leagues in the world. It has attracted sponsors due to the immense competitiveness of all the participating teams. It also gained prominence as it was the first franchise league after the IPL. It has also been successful in giving quality players to the Australian cricket. The players like Adam Zampa, Marcus Stoinis, and Glenn Maxwell have been the BBL products. While the prodigy Jhye Richardson, Meredith, and Josh Phillipe have got an opportunity in the national team after performing well in the league.

BBL Schedule

The Big Bash League 2021 schedule has been announced with the tournament starting from 5th December and the final to be played on 28th January. This time around home-away fixtures have been brought back for the suitability of the teams and the pandemic situation being controlled. For the first time in 5 years, the tournament will be played inside the school holidays dates.

Availability of players in Big Bash League 2021

The Afghan players will play a test match against Australia in first week of December and core players Nabi, Rashid, and Mujeeb are expected to be available for the full season. The Ashes will also be underway during the BBL, and the extended England squad will mean few of English players will be playing in this season as well. As usual, limited-overs players of Australia like Maxwell and Finch will be playing for their respective teams.

In the last season, the tournament attracted the highest TV Broadcast audience.
Sydney Sixers were the champions of BBL 10, which was last year. They put up 188 on the board, with a 95(60) from James Vince. They have won the title 3 times, and have won back to back in the last two years, and they will go for a hattrick in this season. They have a solid team and will be front-runners to the trophy this year too.
