Kieron Pollard CSK vs MI IPL 2022: In a massive news update, Mumbai Indians (MI) senior all-rounder Kieron Pollard is not playing the today the today Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The five-time IPL champions have managed to register just two victories and ended up losing a total of nine matches in the ongoing T20 tournament. For the second year in a row, the Mumbai Indians will not be able to qualify for the playoffs.

After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma gave the big news that their veteran player Kieron Pollard is not playing today IPL match against Chennai Super Kings. Incidentally, the former West Indies captain is sitting out on the big occasion of his 35th birthday. It has not been the ideal tournament especially with the bat for Pollard where he has managed to score just 144 runs from 11 games.

“We will field first. It’s the nature of the ground, and what suits our team. Nothing has worked for us this season. Keep an eye on the future, Pollard is out and Stubbs is in. Shokeen comes in for Ashwin. He was the one who came up to us and he was ready for it. We want to try out a few players, got to see what they have to offer. Looks a good track, hope it plays well throughout the 40 overs. It’s brilliant to play against Chennai, it’s always like that. We need to try and win the game,” said Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma during the toss.
