The Mumbai Indians will continue to miss the services of Suryakumar Yadav for their second consecutive match as the right-hander has been ruled out of IPL 2022 with a left forearm injury. He has been advised rest by the Mumbai Indians and BCCI medical team after sustaining a muscle strain on the left forearm. Suryakumar had smashed an excellent total of 303 runs from as many as 8 games that included three brilliant half-centuries this T20 season.

“Suryakumar Yadav has sustained a muscle strain on the left fore arm and has been ruled out for the season. He has been advised to rest, in consultation with the BCCI medical team,” the Mumbai Indians said in a statement.

“We will field first. It’s the nature of the ground, and what suits our team. Nothing has worked for us this season. Keep an eye on the future, Pollard is out and Stubbs is in. Shokeen comes in for Ashwin. He was the one who came up to us and he was ready for it. We want to try out a few players, got to see what they have to offer. Looks a good track, hope it plays well throughout the 40 overs. It’s brilliant to play against Chennai, it’s always like that. We need to try and win the game,” said Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma during the toss.
