Ravindra Jadeja CSK vs MI IPL 2022: In a big news development, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) premier all-rounder and former skipper Ravindra Jadeja is not playing the today Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) match against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Incidentally, the former CSK captain has been ruled out for the remainder of the T20 competition due to a rib injury. After winning just two matches and losing as many as 6 losses under his leadership, Jadeja relinquished the captaincy duties back to MS Dhoni.

A disappointing season has turned out to be worse for Ravindra Jadeja as he will no longer be available for IPL 2022 after complaining of pain in ribs while batting and bowling. He sustained the injury during the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore and also missed the game against Delhi Capitals due to the same issue. Jadeja had only scored 116 runs and taken as many as 5 wickets from 8 matches in the ongoing tournament.

“He has an injury on his rib which he sustained during our match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (on May 04). We have only two games left and given his heavy international commitments, we thought he should not risk further injury,” said Kasi Viswanathan, the CEO of Chennai Super Kings.

“He was feeling pain while bowling and batting. So we thought that it would be wise to let him rest. We have informed the BCCI as well,” he added.

” It has worked for us, batting first. We are playing with the same team. Someone like a Jaddu, he is one of those who helps us try out different combinations. It’s tough to replace him, don’t think anyone can field better, no replacement in that aspect. When a lot of is at stake, you need to do the homework and focus on the process, irrespective of the opposition,” said Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni during the toss.
