Mitchell Marsh IPL 2022: Delhi Capitals have suffered a huge blow as the in form Australian all rounder Mitchell Marsh is tested positive for covid-19. Delhi Capitals were supposed to play Punjab Kings in Pune but the increasing cases in the Delhi Capitals camp has forced BCCI to Shift the game to Brabourne where DC are currently there as this will avoid them travelling to Pune.
Mitchell Marsh had a forgettable outing in his debut game for DC in the game against RCB. He played a match losing Innings and looked terrible against spinners in middle overs sucking all the momentum provided by the openers in the powerplay.
Now that he has been tested positive for covid-19, Mitchell Marsh is not available for DC vs PBKS IPL 2022. He has been isolated and the further updates regarding the situation is being awaited.
With the Australian all rounder out of the game, Delhi Capitals might really go in with just 3 overseas players like they have done on a few occasions in this season before. Unless they conclude that Anrich Nortje is ready to go, there is every chance that Sarfaraz Khan replacing Mitchell Marsh at #3, with the rest of the lineup remaining the same.
It will be a tricky situation for them if Anrich Nortje is match fit because they will have to drop either of Khaleel Ahmed or Mustafizur Rahman when both these left arm seamers have done extraordinary job so far for them. The only game Anrich Nortje played in this season, DC dropped Khaleel Ahmed and paid the price for it as they lost that game.
