India squad for ENG vs IND: In a big breaking news update, the visiting Indian team have announced their squads for the upcoming T20I and ODI series against England. The Men in Blue are scheduled to play as many as three T20I matches and a three-match ODI series in England. India’s tour of England will begin from 1 July, 2022 with the fifth and final rescheduled Test match at the Edgbaston in Birmingham where the visitors have a lead of 2-1 in the five-match Test series.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have named three different squads for the upcoming limited-overs game against England. The big update is that regular captain Rohit Sharma returns to the side after missing the last home series against South Africa and being ruled out of the fifth and final Test match. On the other hand, Test regulars like Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja and Shreyas Iyer will return to the Indian limited-overs side from the 2nd T20I onwards against England. In other important development, left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh has received his maiden call-up to the India ODI squad.
Rahul Tripathi who received his maiden call-up the Indian side during the previous T20I series in Ireland, but did not get a game, has been only picked for the 1st T20I against England. Even after scoring a wonderful maiden T20I century, Deepak Hooda has only been picked in the T20I squad and dropped from the ODI side as he was part of the team that played last 50-overs cricket against West Indies at home.
