Hardik Pandya ENG vs IND: In an important news development, India’s premier all-rounder Hardik Pandya is not playing the third and final T20I match against England scheduled to be played at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham. Indian team will definitely be feeling very much high on confidence after having defeated the home England side by convincing margins in the opening two T20I matches. The Men in Blue have an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match T20I series.

After losing yet another toss and this time being asked to bowl first, Indian captain Rohit Sharma mentioned that Hardik Pandya is warming the bench for this third T20I against England. Incidentally, Pandya was the Player of the Match during India’s remarkable victory over England in the first T20I for his blistering half-century and also picked up an impressive four-wicket haul with the ball. However, the decision of resting the premier all-rounder might have been taken considering his injury history and manage his workload.
“We would have fielded first. Had batted first twice, wanted to chase at least once. Four changes for us – Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Umran Malik and Shreyas Iyer are in. They replace Bhuvi, Bumrah, Chahal and Hardik. We don’t want to miss out on the winning confidence, but there are a few things we want to have a look at before the World Cup, so the changes. We’re excited for Umran, want to wish him the best and give him confidence,” said India captain Rohit Sharma during the toss.

Team India have made as many as four changes to their playing 11 from the previous win over England. The likes of Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal have not been included in the side. Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan and Umran Malik have earned a useful opportunity in the Indian team.
