ENG vs NZ: England Squad Announced for 3rd Test. Here’s official update

England are on a high after winning the test series against New Zealand with one match to go in the series. Literally they were the underdogs in this series to start with but the way they have managed to outplay New Zealand fair and square in 2 consecutive games is quite commendable.

ENG vs NZ: Jamie Overton makes the cut for England

With series already in the pocket, England would not want to take things lightly in the last and final test that is set to start on 23rd of June in Leeds. The visitors have been hit badly by Covid-19 but the hosts are fortunate enough as they have all their first choice players are intact for the 3rd test.

They have added Jamie Overton, who plays for Surrey in the county to their squad to bolster their pace attack. The veteran fast bowlers in Stuart Broad and James Anderson retain their place while the impressive Matty Potts will continue to be the ally for the experienced fast bowling pair in the playing 11.

England managed to chase 299 runs on the last day of the 2nd test match to script a memorable win in their test cricket history. Jonny Bairstow played a blinder as he scored a scintillating century to make things easier for England and also helped them seal the series with one match to go.

Ben Stokes has been really impressive with his captaincy so far. Although captaincy is not new to him, he has rotated his fast bowlers quite well in this series which their former captain Joe Root was not known for.
