Kane Williamson fit for ENG vs NZ: In a big news development, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson is absolutely available for the upcoming third and final Test match against England scheduled to start from 23 June, 2022 (Thursday) at the Headingley in Leeds. It has not been an ideal series so far for the visiting New Zealand team as they have lost both the Test matches after being in a strong position for most of the game. New Zealand have already lost the three-match Test series against England as they are trailing by 0-2 margin and will be playing for pride in the 3rd Test.
New Zealand suffered a huge blow ahead of the second Test match against England in Nottingham as their captain Kane Williamson was not available for selection after testing positive for COVID-19. However, Williamson has now completely recovered and also started training in the nets with the rest of his teammates. He is all set to return into the New Zealand playing 11 for the 3rd Test against England starting from Thursday.
“He was disappointed to sit out the last game but he’s hungry to get out there to lead the side and desperate to get some runs,” said New Zealand pacer Trent Boult on skipper Kane Williamson’s availability.
