In home series against Sri Lanka in March 2022 , the wicket keeper batsman Rishabh Pant became the player to score fastest fifty for India in Test format off 28 balls. The 2nd on this list is Kapil Dev to score a half century in 30 balls against Pakistan in 1982. While Shardul Thakur was phenomenal in an away series against England and hit fifty off 31 balls in 2021.

The fast bowling all rounder Ajit Agarkar was terrific in his knock of 67* off 25 balls against Zimbabwe in 2000. In this process, he completed the half century in 21 balls. Another veterans Kapil Dev and Virender Sehwag, who were the match winners for the Indian team hit a fifty off 22 balls in 1983 and 2001 respectively.

The legendary player Yuvraj Singh hit six sixes in 1 over against England in a virtual semi final in 2007 World Cup and hit fifty off just 12 balls. He garnered 58 off 16 balls, which counts as his best ever T20I performance.  In 2021 World Cup against Scotland, KL Rahul was flawless with his hitting and completed a half century in 18 balls. One of the most consistent performers of India team in limited overs, Gautam Gambhir comes 3rd on this list by amassing a half century in 19 balls against Sri Lanka in 2009.
