Everyone these days know Wasim Jaffer for his comical posts on social media but very few are aware that what a prodigy he has been in first-class cricket. Being regarded as a legend in Ranji Trophy, Jaffer debuted for India in 2000 but he failed to assert his authority and scored only 46 runs in four innings. He then later staged a comeback after years and then went on to score around 2000 Test runs at an average of 34.10 to go with 5 hundred. However, with the rise of Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir in the team, he lost his place in the Indian side and played his last match in 2008. Overall in 33 international matches, the 43-year-old scored 1954 runs.
