After winning the toss yet again and opting to bowl first, Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya revealed the huge update that Lockie Ferguson has missed out on selection for this important encounter against Rajasthan Royals. It seems to be a really surprising selection decision as Ferguson had bowled really well for the Gujarat Titans in the first half of this tournament. After getting dropped for a few games, the New Zealand speedster returned to the side during the last game against Royal Challengers Bangalore, but bowled just 1.4 overs where he conceded as many as 21 runs.

“We gonna bowl first. Looks a decent track to bat on, but no matches in the last couple of months and just want to know what we are chasing. Boys are pretty pumped up for this game. We treat this game as simple as possible and make sure you focus on what is controllable and making sure the intensity is high and aware of what the situation demands. Only one change. Alzarri (Joseph) comes in for Lockie,” said Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya during the toss.
