Everyone including the cricketers are doing the needful in helping the nation with oxygen supplies and other necessary medical facilities. India’s Test specialist Hanuma Vihari who is currently in the UK for his County Championship stint, has also gone out of his way to support the country in this fight against Covid-19.

After receiving a lot of requests on social media, Hanuma Vihari recently decided to create a fund of 100 volunteers in order to provide oxygen cylinders, plasma and hospital beds to the people in need. However, the Indian cricketer encountered a very shameful and disappointing fan on Instagram. The incident took place when Vihari himself posted on Instagram requesting financial help for a needy women with her father an brother fighting for their lives on the hospital ventilator. India’s Test specialist received a lot of praise in the comments section, however, there was also a fan who instead angrily asked Hanuma to pay the required money and then the right-handed batsman blasted the Instagram user with a befitting reply.

The fan wrote on Hanuma Vihari’s Instagram post, “Why don’t you pay man !!!! You’re a famous athlete”.

Hanuma Vihari gave a befitting reply, saying, “It’s a shame but india is in this position because there are people like you living in this country. Real shame!!”.

Will Hanuma Vihari find a place in the playing XI for WTC Final?

Hanuma Vihari has not been in the best of forms during his ongoing County Championship stint for Warwickshire. The right-handed batsman has managed to score 100 runs in six innings that includes a single half-century. Even after playing a remarkable and gritty knock to help India pull off an unlikely draw in the Sydney Test against Australia, it looks unlikely that Hanuma will be part of the playing XI against New Zealand in the World Test Championship (WTC) final scheduled from June 18. He is also part of India’s squad for the following five-match Test series against England.
