When will Bhuvneshwar Kumar be back on the field?

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has not been named in the Team India squad for the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand and the subsequent five-match Test series against England as well. In 21 Tests, Bhuvneshwar has picked up a total of 63 wickets at an average of 26.1 and that includes brilliant match-winning performances away from India especially in England and South Africa. However, with his fitness not upto the mark for the longest format of the game as of right now which the national selectors have stressed upon, the 31-year-old is likely to get back into action next in the upcoming white-ball tour to Sri Lanka scheduled in July. Bhuvneshwar’s fitness and performance as the pace spearhead will be pivotal to India’s chances in the T20 World Cup scheduled to be held later this year in October-November.
