There were three hat tricks that took place IPL 2009. But what came as a surprise, was it came from non regular bowlers. Playing for Punjab Kings, Yuvraj Singh took three wickets in three balls in two times in the tournament. He achieved the feat against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Deccan Chargers.
The second bowler who took hat-trick in 2009 was Rohit Sharma, achieving the feat against Mumbai Indians while playing for Deccan Chargers. The Premier batter dismissed Abhishek Nayar, Harbhajan Singh, JP Duminy.
IPL 2010, 11 & 12 saw one hat trick each by Praveen Kumar, who took against Rajasthan Royals in 2010, Amit Mishra, who took his second hat trick in the tournament in 2010 and Ajit Chandila, who achieved the feat against Pune Warriors India in 2012.
Sunil Narine took his first hat trick in IPL in 2013 season, when playing for KKR he be claimed 3/33 against Kings XI Punjab. Amit Mishra in that season created history when he bagged his third hat trick, becoming the first bowler in the history of league to do so.

In IPL 2014, both the hat tricks belonged to Rajasthan Royals. Leg-spinner Pravin Tambe took 3/26 against Kolkata Knight Riders and then just after few games, Shane Watson took his first hat trick in the league, playing against Sunrisers Hyderabad and returning with the figures of 3/13.
Axar Patel was the lone hat trick taker in IPL 2016, when he took against Gujarat Lions to register his first hat trick in IPL. While the likes of Samuel Badree (4/9), Andrew Tye (5/17) and Jaydev Unadkat (5/30) were the bowlers that took hat trick in IPL 2017.

Sam Curran registered first hat trick of 2019, when playing for Punjab Kings against Delhi Capitals, the left-arm pacer took 4/11. The second hat trick in that season was taken by Shreyas Gopal (RR) against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Harshal Patel was the pick of bowlers in IPL 2021. Not only he took most wickets in the season, he also bagged a hat trick to his name. He achieved the feat against Mumbai Indians.
