Highest Opening Partnership in IPL: The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) opening pair of Quinton de Kock and skipper KL Rahul has blasted the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowlers all over the park in the today Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) match at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. During their debut IPL season, the Lucknow Super Giants have been really impressive both in the batting as well as bowling departments. LSG have managed to win 8 out of their 13 matches in this competition so far.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Lucknow Super Giants opening duo of KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock have entered the history books by registering the highest ever opening partnership in the Indian Premier League as they composed an outstanding unbeaten stand of 210 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders. Rahul and de Kock have surpassed the all-time IPL record of the previous best opening partnership by the pair of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow that came in 2019 of 185 runs.

The duo of Chris Lynn and Gautam Gambhir composed a fabulous opening partnership of 183 runs against Gujarat Lions which is the third best on the table. Earlier in IPL 2022, while playing for the Chennai Super Kings, Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad put up an amazing partnership of 182 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The Lucknow Super Giants have posted a massive total of 210 runs on the scoreboard in their quota of 20 overs. Quinton de Kock rallied the KKR bowlers in all directions during his stunning unbeaten innings of 140 runs off just 70 balls that included 10 sixes and as many fours. LSG skipper KL Rahul also played an excellent knock of 68 runs that consisted of 4 sixes and 3 fours.
