The CSK openers registered the fourth highest opening partnership in the history of the Indian Premier League as Conway and Ruturaj composed a remarkable partnership of 182 runs in 17.5 overs. This is also the best opening partnership for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL going past Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson’s unbeaten stand of 181 runs.

While playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, the pair of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow still hold the all-time record for the best opening partnership in the IPL history as the duo smacked the RCB bowlers for an amazing stand of 185 runs in 2019.
