Indian test team is all set to play against the New Zealand team in the first fixture of the series starting 25th November. The both teams met in red ball format last time in the World Test Championship, where the New Zealand team secured a victory by 8 wickets. The both teams will be up against each other in the bilateral test series. Kane Williamson will be the leader of the New Zealand team, while Ajinkya Rahane will captain the Indian team for the 1st Test, with Virat Kohli opting to join the squad in 2nd Test at Mumbai.


Suryakumar Yadav replaces KL Rahul for India vs New Zealand Test Series

The top order batter Suryakumar Yadav has been added to the test squad for the series against New Zealand, and he replaces the injured KL Rahul.

The BCCI official account on Twitter posted an update about the latest development regarding the squad changes.

KL Rahul’s has sustained a thigh injury and is set to undergo rehabilitation at NCA, Bengaluru. He will be vital to the Indian team for the series against South Africa starting next month consisting of matches across all the 3 formats.


New Zealand Squad for India Test series

The touring party, New Zealand wil miss the services of their man in form Devon Conway who has been consistent with his run scoring abilities across all the formats. In place of him, Daryl Mitchell has been added to the squad. While Glenn Phillips was named in the test format squad for the first time.
