IND vs SA: After taking 1-0 lead in the first T20I against South Africa in The second T20I in Thiruvananthapuram, Indian Cricket Team clashed with the Proteas in the second T20I at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. The game saw the hosts dominating the visitors for the second successive time and clinching the series 2-0.

Asked to bat first, Indian openers Rohit Sharma (43) and KL Rahul (57) gave their side a rollicking start as they stitched 96 runs for the opening partnership. If this was not enough, then Suryakumar Yadav (61) then maker mockery of South African bowling attack and smashed the second fastest fifty for India in T20Is.

Virat Kohli also played his hand and scored unbeaten 49 runs. Dinesh Karthik also  played the finisher’s role perfectly as he scored 17 runs in 7 balls to help the Rohit Sharma-led side post a gigantic total of 237 runs on the board.

Chasing the target, South Africa had a horrendous start as Arshdeep Singh removed Temba Bavuma and Rilee Rossouw  for ducks to left them tumbling at 2/1. Aiden Markram also perished after playing a gutsy knock of 33 runs.

After three quick wickets, Quinton de Kock and David Miller, who scored century, then steadied the innings by smashing fifties and scored runs overs 150 runs for the partnership to put India under pressure. But in the end, the target was too much as India sealed the match by 16 runs to clinch the series 2-0.

IND vs SA: Who won the Man of the Match award in the second T20I between India and South Africa

Indian opener KL Rahul was awarded Man of the Match in the second T20I against South Africa in Guwahati. The right-hander gave India perfect start as he took the Proteas bowlers to the cleaners.

Rahul scored 57 runs in just 28 balls and also stitched 96 runs for the opening partnership with Rohit Sharma. His innings included 5 fours and 4 sixes and he played with the strike rate of 203.57 to give his side a momentum in the start.
