Virat Kohli to miss IND vs WI 3rd T20I: In a big breaking news development, Virat Kohli will not be available for the third and final T20I match against West Indies scheduled to be played on 20 February in Kolkata. Team India have already sealed the three-match T20I series in their favour by taking an unassailable lead of 2-0. In a nerve-wracking encounter which went down the wire, India finally managed to pick up an amazing 8-run victory over the Windies team last night.

IND vs WI: Virat Kohli to MISS 3rd T20I against West Indies?

In an important news update, former India captain Virat Kohli has been released from the India bio-bubble by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ahead of the 3rd T20I against West Indies on Sunday. He will now be returning home and might also skip the forthcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka. After losing an early wicket of Ishan Kishan in the second T20I encounter, Kohli notched up a brilliant innings of 52 runs off 41 balls that included 7 fours and 1 six. With the series already won, the hosts are expected to make some wholesale changes in the playing 11 for the final T20I encounter at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

“Virat Kohli given bio-bubble break by BCCI, leaves for home before third T20I against West Indies,” said a statement released by PTI.

India vs West Indies 3rd T20I

Alongside Kohli, wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has also been released from the Team India bio-bubble and this means that Ishan Kishan will have to don the gloves in the 3rd T20I game against West Indies. Shreyas Iyer is expected to replace Virat in the side while the pace duo of Avesh Khan and Mohammed Siraj might also come in for Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel. The Rohit Sharma-led India team management are likely to bring back Shardul Thakur as a like-for-like replacement for Deepak Chahar.
