IND vs WI: Why is Rishabh Pant Not Playing Today? Who is India Wicket Keeper?

India’s stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya mentioned at the toss that Rishabh Pant is not playing this fifth T20I against West Indies. There are no injury issues with the wicket-keeper batsman and he has only been rested for this game in order to give a chance to the bench strength. Pant scored a crucial knock of 44 runs off 31 balls that included 6 boundaries to help India post a massive total of 191 for 5 in the 4th T20I. In his absence, Dinesh Karthik will be the wicket-keeper.

“We want to bat. We saw how the wicket slowed down yesterday. We want to bat on a fresher wicket. We are like we are not playing at Miami. 99 percent of the fans are supporting India. No matter what happens, we have set some standards for the Indian cricket team. We need to go out there and showcase our skill set. Obviously, the coach, the captain and senior members have done some tremendous job. 4 changes to the team,” said India’s stand-in captain Hardik Pandya.
