India vs West Indies: In a big breaking news, the duo of Ishan Kishan and Shahrukh Khan have been added to the India squad for the upcoming 1st ODI against West Indies scheduled on 6 February at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India will host West Indies for a three-match ODI series that will be followed by three T20I matches between these two teams. India have already suffered some noticeable blows due to Covid-19 outbreak as the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Navdeep Saini have contracted the virus.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made it official that the All India Selection Committee has added Ishan Kishan and Shahrukh Khan to the India squad for the first ODI against the Windies team. Earlier Mayank Agarwal was also included in the India squad as the trio of Dhawan, Shreyas and Ruturaj are likely to miss the entire three-match ODI series.

India vs West Indies

Indian captain Rohit Sharma earlier in the day confirmed that Ishan Kishan will open the batting with him in the first ODI against West Indies. Mayank Agarwal is still not available for selection as he is yet to complete his mandatory quarantine period of three days.

“Ishan Kishan will open the innings with me. He is the only option we are left with. Mayank Agarwal was added to the squad but, he is still in quarantine according to the rules that’ve been set”, said Rohit Sharma during the press conference ahead of the first ODI against the West Indies.
