IPL 2022: When will Mitchell Marsh join DC Playing 11?

Mitchell Marsh IPL 2022: Australia’s big-hitting all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has one of the players who have been on the unfortunate sides in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). After having bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last couple of seasons, the right-hander has been down with his own injury issues. However, Marsh caught the eyeballs of the cricket world during his fabulous match-winning innings of 77 runs off 50 balls against New Zealand in the final of the 2021 T20 World Cup after which Delhi Capitals bought him for INR 6.50 Crore in IPL 2022 mega auction.

Mitchell Marsh was initially named in the Australian limited-overs squad for the recently concluded ODI and T20I series against Pakistan, but unfortunately, he picked up a slight hip flexor strain and then he decided to travel to Mumbai in order to join the Delhi Capitals camp. DC’s head coach Ricky Ponting recently mentioned that Marsh should be available for the IPL 2022 season from the upcoming match against Kolkata Knight Riders on 10 April at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. This also means that the Aussie all-rounder will not play the game against Lucknow Super Giants scheduled on 7 April.

“We are hoping that he (Marsh) is going to be available for the game on 10th (against Kolkata Knight Riders). He picked up that slight hip flexor strain in Pakistan. But fingers crossed, Davey should be there for the next game and Mitch Marsh for the game after,” said Ricky Ponting after the game against Gujarat Titans.
