The 1st test match between India and New Zealand has been quite exciting with both the teams looking to edge out each other. The 1st innings of this fixture started with India piling up close to around 400 runs, but New Zealand fought back well, but gave away lead of 49 runs. Then the Indian team declared to set a target of 284 runs for the visitors in a tricky Day 5 surface.

The 1st Test Match at Kanpur is expected to end as a draw, as its the last day of the fixture. The New Zealand batters Tom Latham and Will Somerville have displayed terrific resistance against the Indian bowlers. Although the Day 5 pitch assists the spinners in their cause, the bowlers like Ashwin, Axar, and Jadeja have not been able to trouble the batters.

The next batters for the New Zealand team will be the experienced Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor, who will look to play out the session well and defend the test match. It will also depend upon the bowlers to take the wickets of Latham and Somerville as well to put visitors under pressure.
