Lowest score in IPL : There has been several instances where teams have been bundled out for some unimaginable scores in IPL history. The fact that T20 is a high volatile format does add its value to the cause as well. Lets take a look at top 5 lowest score in IPL.

What is the lowest score in IPL?

1. 49 – RCB vs KKR

To date, this has been one of the most iconic numbers in IPL history for various reasons. RCB were bundled out for a mere 49 runs chasing 132 on a spicy Eden track. It was one of the most embarrassing moments for RCB in IPL history. KKR bowlers hunted as a group and all their bowlers who got a chance to bowl picked wickets. Nathan Coulter Nile, Chris Woakes and Colin de Grandhomme picked 3 wickets each.

2. 58 – RR vs RCB

The only time the main event happened in South Africa, it saw RR register their lowest score ever in IPL history chasing 134 in their 20 overs, they fell like a pace of cards and were bowled out for 58 runs inside 16 overs. Anil Kumble bagged a 5 fer and rattled RR batsmen in that game.

3. 66 – DD vs MI

This was supposed to be a high scoring game as the wicket played very well which helped MI post a mammoth 212 batting first. Delhi Daredevils (Capitals, now) succumbed to scoreboard pressure and were bowled out for 66 runs in 13.4 overs to handover a 146 run victory to MI. Harbhajan Singh and Karn Sharma picked 3 wickets each to decimate DD.

What is the Highest Score in IPL by a Team?

4. 67 – DD vs KXIP

This is the first instance in this list where a team batting first has registered the lowest score in the IPL history. This was the 2nd time in the same season for Delhi where they were bowled out for less than 70. Sandeep Sharma was too hot to handle for Delhi batters that day as he took a 4 fer and destroyed DD’s top and middle order.
