Marcus Stoinis IPL 2022: In a huge news development, Australia’s big-hitting all rounder Marcus Stoinis has joined the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season. The Lucknow Super Giants have registered two really impressive victories in the ongoing T20 tournament against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings while they lost their opening game against Gujarat Titans. The KL Rahul-led LSG side will now meet the Delhi Capitals in the today IPL match at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai.

According to Star Sports Network who are the official broadcasters for the Indian Premier League 2022 season, Marcus Stoinis is available for selection in the Lucknow Super Giants playing 11 against Delhi Capitals on 7 April (Thursday). Stoinis was recently involved in the Australia’s limited-overs tour to Pakistan and last played the Pakistan vs Australia one-off T20I encounter on 5 April, 2022. However, the all-rounder is now set to play his first match for the Lucknow Super Giants in the 15th edition of the IPL.

The Lucknow Super Giants picked Marcus Stoinis ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction at a heft price worth INR 9.2 Crore alongside skipper KL Rahul and Ravi Bishnoi. Stoinis has done reasonably well in the Indian Premier League so far having scored a total of 914 runs and also taken as many as 30 wickets from 56 matches.
