DC Playing XI: Things have gone remarkably well for the Delhi Capitals (DC) especially in the previous two editions of the Indian Premier League (IPL). This year they will kickstart their IPL 2022 campaign against five-time champions Mumbai Indians at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on 27 March. Apart from their fabulous work at the IPL 2022 auction table, DC retained the likes of Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, Prithvi Shaw and Anrich Nortje.

Delhi Capitals have a lot of issues while sorting out their first-choice playing XI at the start of the Indian Premier League 2022. It was a big blow that their premier fast bowler Anrich Nortje has already been ruled out of the tournament due to injury while the Aussie duo of David Warner and Mitchell Marsh won’t be available for the first few matches. Thus, DC will open the batting with the combo of Prithvi Shaw and Mandeep Singh. One of Tim Seifert or KS Bharat who did well for Royal Challengers Bangalore last year, will have to bat at No.3 in the absence of Marsh.

The trio of captain Rishabh Pant, Rovman Powell and Sarfaraz Khan will have to do the finishing part alongside the all-rounder duo of Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur. Even in the absence of Nortje, Delhi Capitals have a whole lot of fast bowlers to choose from and Mustafizur Rahman and Lungi Ngidi are likely to play in the starting XI.
