However, the CSK faithful will be hoping to get one of their most important players back in the squad soon.

Ravindra Jadeja injury puts CSK in a spot of bother

Ravindra Jadeja has featured in 185 IPL matches so far. He has scored 2159 runs in the process, while having a fifty and a strike rate of 126.5 to his name. The 32-year-old has also picked up 114 wickets, and is regarded as one of the finest fielders of modern day cricket.

CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan also recently expressed his unawareness Jadeja’s availability for the campaign ahead.

“We really don’t know when Jadeja is joining us. He has to get released by the National Cricket Academy (NCA),” Viswanathan said.

As of now, the Chennai Super Kings camp is undergoing preparations for the IPL, with the likes of MS Dhoni, Ambati Rayudu, Cheteshwar Pujara, Karn Sharma and the others out in training.
