The 43rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is taking place between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. Asked to bat first, the Sanju Samson-led side had a great start to their innings as openers Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal took them off the flyer, scoring 77 runs for the opening partnership. However, the rest of them failed to capitalise on the start and managed only 149 runs only.
Chasing the target, openers Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli scored 48 runs for the opening partnership but failed to convert their starts into the big innings and take their team home. After the dismissal of the skipper, Glenn Maxwell came out to bat and looked aggressive and started scoring boundaries since his arrival on the crease.
During the 9th over, Kartik Tyagi bowled a short ball to Glenn Maxwell, who went for the pull shot and got a top-edge. The ball flew to the boundary and it almost seemed that the batsman got six runs but Mustafizur Rahman, who was fielding at the deep fine leg made a phenomenal effort to save runs for his team.
The left-arm pacer timed his jump to perfection and got his left hand to it and flicks the ball inside the boundary to save five runs for his team.
