Who won today’s IPL match?: Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 witnessed its 25th match being played between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. The Kane Williamson-led side continued their winning run and registered their third win of the season after losing first two matches. They outplayed KKR in all three departments and handed them their second consecutive loss by 7 wickets.
Bowling first, after winning the toss, SRH had a dream start to their innings as their pacers made KKR batsmen look clueless. Marco Jansen and T Natarajan combined to take three wickets in Aaron Finch (7), Venkatesh Iyer (6) and Sunil Narine (6) to leave then tumbling at 31/3. Umran Malik then with his fiery pace rattled the stumps of Shreyas Iyer for 28 runs. Nitish Rana played a fighting knock of 54 runs for his side. A brutal finish by Andre Russell (49*) in the end then helped KKR post a total of 175 runs on the board. For SRH, Natarajan was the pick of the bowlers and returned with the figures of 3/37.

Chasing the target, even though SRH lost Abhishek Sharma (3) Kane Williamson (17) inside the power play, Rahul Tripathi played a gem of innings and kept his team in the game. He scored 71 runs in just 37 balls before perishing to Andre Russell in 15th over. After his wicket, Aiden Markram stood tall for his side and smashed his second half-century of the season. He along with Nicholas Pooran comfortably closed the game for his side and won the match by 7 wickets and 13 balls to spare.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batsman Rahul Tripathi was awarded the Player of the Match in today’s encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders in Mumbai. After SRH lost two quick wickets to put themselves under pressure, Tripathi changed the course of the game with his brutal knock. The right-hander smashed half-century in just 21 balls and finished with 71 runs to help his side seal their third victory. His knock was laced with 4 fours and 6 sixes.
