U19 World Cup: 5 Future Stars who’ve made their mark at junior level

The group stages of the ongoing U-19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa are over and before the business end of the tournament starts, it’s time to look back at the best performers. Several U-19 stars have gone to become future stars for their senior national team. Here are some players from the 2020 edition who are set to be future stars:

1. Ravi Bishnoi (India)

The young leg-spinner from Rajasthan, India, Ravi Bishnoi had been making rounds since the last couple months for his ability to spin the ball. At the ongoing U-19 Cricket World Cup, he has picked up 10 wickets so far in just three matches. His bowling average is 7.9 while he has picked up two Man of the match awards already. Bishnoi was also bought by Kings XI Punjab for INR 2.0 Cr and will be seen in action at the IPL 2020.

2. Shafiqullah Ghafari (Afghanistan)

Afghanistan just keeps producing spinners from their factory and 18-year old Shafiqullah Ghafari is the new addition to the list. In just two matches, Ghafari has set the stage on fire by picking up 11 wickets. His bowling average is an incredible 3.45. He also helped Afghanistan beat the hosts South Africa to reach the quarter-final.
