After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Delhi Capitals got off to a brilliant start courtesy Prithvi Shaw’s quick-fire knock of 53 runs off 39 balls. However, in a very interesting incident from the game, the ball slipped off Vijay Shankar’s hands while delivering the fifth ball of the 13th over and incidentally, Rishabh Pant who was on the crease at that time hit the head-high full toss over the long-on region for a single. Both the on-field umpires came together to discuss what actually happened on that delivery and eventually, it was given as a no-ball.

SRH captain David Warner was very unhappy with the on-field umpire’s decision as he believed that the ball had actually slipped from Shankar’s hands.
