India legends started off on a winning note

Earlier Indian captain Sachin Tendulkar won the toss and elected to bowl first on an uncharacteristic Wankhede wicket that sported a dry look on it. The Indian bowlers except Zaheer Khan looked rusty as the West Indian openers Darren Ganga and Shivnaraine Chanderpaul piled up a good opening wicket partnership 40 runs for the first 5 overs until Zaheer Khan  bowled the dangerous Darren Ganga for a well made 32 from 24 deliveries.

The wickets kept tumbling at the regular intervals but the veteran Shivanarine Chanderpaul stood firm at one end and helped the Windies to reach 150 runs in their 20 overs. Shivnaraine Chanderpaul top scored with 61 runs from 41 balls with 2 maximums in it.

The Indian legends chased the target inside 19 overs and started their campaign on a winning note.
