Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya hasn’t played an international match since September last year. But, it finally seems that the star from Vadodara is all set to get back to action and show his hitting abilities. At the DY Patil T20 Cup 2020, Pandya made a comeback to the competitive cricket after his injury and made quite a strong statement.

Playing for Reliance 1 against Bank of Baroda, Hardik Pandya smashed 38 runs from 25 balls. The all-rounder is known to smash the balls out of the park against spinners and during his comeback innings, he did the same. During his knock, he hit back to back sixes twice at the DY Patil Cricket Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Both the times, Bank of Baroda left spinner Varoon Sood was the victim of Pandya’s brutal hitting. Pandya was eventually dismissed by Sood but by then the damage was done. Watch the video here:

Hardik Pandya injured himself last year while playing a T20I match against South Africa. Since then, the all-rounder has been sidelined from the national side in order to gain back full fitness. The all-rounder has been instrumental in Mumbai Indians’ success over the years and is also a key member of the side going into IPL 2020.

Pandya and Chahar take Reliance 1 to victory

Hardik Pandya’s all-round performance ensured Reliance 1 won the match against Bank of Baroda, comfortably by 25 runs. Batting first, Reliance 1 posted a total of 150 runs from their 20 overs. Pandya bowled a good spell in his comeback match and picked three crucial wickets. But, Leg-spinner Rahul Chahar who picked a brilliant 5-wicket haul was the pick of the bowlers as his performance helped Reliance 1 seal the victory in their first match of the tournament. In some other games of the tournament, Indian stars Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Shikhar Dhawan also made their comeback after recovering from their injuries.
