The legends are putting up a show in the road safety series as all the teams are giving their very best even at this age. The intensity with which the legends are playing this tournament is totally majestic to watch.

India legends have a relatively strong side when compared to all the other legends and the Sri Lankans have managed to assemble a side that could challenge the hosts India. These two teams locked horns in yesterday’s game and the match was a humdinger as expected.

Irfan Pathan hasn’t lost his touch

The veteran all-rounder who retired from the international cricket 3 months ago has been slotted into the Indian legends team and he hasn’t disappointed the fans and the management one bit.

The southpaw was magnificent with both bat and the ball as he proved his mettle as a true all-rounder. India were in all sorts of trouble while chasing 139 runs as whole of their top order surrendered to the swing of Chaminda Vaas.

The dashing opener Virender Sehwag who was the top scorer for India in their previous game went cheaply due to poor running between the wicket as he was run out thanks to a brilliant direct hit from Upul Chadhana.

It was that man Irfan Pathan who came to the rescue with his 31 ball 57 run knock that helped India to win the game rather easily.

Munaf Patel shines with the ball

The world cup winning member Munaf Patel displayed a brilliant spell of medium fast bowling as he pegged back the Sri Lankan total big time with his impressive spell of 4 for 19 in his quota of 4 overs.

The other Indian bowlers supported him well as all the bowlers chipped in with wickets except Pragyan Ojha.
For Sri Lanka, the captain Tilakratne Dilshan and Chamara Kapugedara were the top scorers as both of them scored 23 apiece .
