The Indian Premier League (IPL) had been pushed away from it’s intended date of initiation which was March 29 to April 15, 2020. However, with worries growing higher due to the coronavirus pandemic there could be a possibility of the IPL being shifted further forward by July-September this year.

Though the situation in the country is unpleasant, there are quite a few players who are still in training in their respective camps. One such player is the Delhi capitals skipper Shreyas Iyer. In a video shared by the Delhi Capitals’ official YouTube channel, Iyer has put in a show of some serious skill with the football.

Full-time cricketer and part-time footballer

The Delhi captain is seen juggling the ball on 87 consecutive occasions before lobbing the ball high in the air and letting it go. Quite a few comments signified on the fact that he missed his hundred here but will not be missing out with the bat when the IPL kicks-off.

Shreyas Iyer batsman has been a part of 62 IPL games and has scored 1681 runs with a strike rate of 126.96, which includes 13 half-centuries under his belt.

The Delhi Capitals who were earlier known as the Delhi Daredevils are yet to lift the title since the start of the tournament way back in 2008. That being said, the Capitals had an impressive run in the last edition by making it to the Qualifiers.

Inclusion of players such as Shimron Hetmeyer, Alex Carey, Marcus Stoinis and Chris Woakes should add further solidity to the Delhi Capitals lineup as they look to go the distance this time around.
