Jofra Archer took a hat-trick in a dramatic last over to help Sussex win the thriller by 12-runs against Middlesex in the Vitality Blast South Group match at Lords.
After bowling Sussex out for 168 in 19.4 overs, Middlesex had Eoin Morgan who was leading from the front in the chase, hitting 90 off 56 balls.
Middlesex required 16 runs off the final over to win the match but Jofra Archer masterclass denied them victory with Morgan being his first victim.
Sussex got the edge and the 23-years-old followed it up by dismissing John Simpson and James Fuller off the next two deliveries as he added a memorable hat-trick to his impressive record.
The fast bowler revealed he had been asked to donate his shirt to the Lord’s museum after his last-over heroics.
Archer originally hails from Barbados and he has represented Windies at the U-19 level and he is also eligible to play for England from 2022.
Morgan praised Archer by saying, “Archer is an impressive player”.

Last week, Archer had wrecked Glamorgan twice on a single night in the County Championship as he took 4 for 15 and 4 for 31 to bowl out the opponents for 85 and 88.
Born in Barbados, Jofra Archer lives in the UK and he wants to play Test cricket for the three lions.
Under the residency rules of England, he will only become eligible to be considered for the Test squad when he completes the residency period of seven years. He also needs to spend 210 days in the county for completing the residency period.
Jofra Archer is of the opinion that he would get better opportunities in England than in the Windies. He has featured in 23 first-class games till now and he has taken 108 wickets at an average of 23.82.
He has also amassed 895 runs at an average of 35.80 which includes six half-centuries and the highest score of 81*.
