Watch: Rohit Sharma’s sweet gesture wins hearts of Twitterati

It was a staggering effort by the Indian team to clinch the third T20I against West Indies by 67 runs. This belligerent win also helped the home side to take the series 2-1.

How it went at the Wankhede

Put into bat by Kieron Pollard, the Indian openers made the most of the conditions and the dimensions of the ground as they walloped 70 runs in the Powerplay and looked unstoppable on their course of destruction.

KL Rahul smashed a massive 91 off 56 deliveries before being undone by a Kesrick Williams bouncer which included 9 fours and 4 lusty blows out of the park. He got ample support from the other end from Ro-‘HIT' Sharma who mustered 71 off just 34 deliveries striking at an astounding rate of 208.82. His hostile knock included 6 fours and 5 mammoth sixes.

The finishing touches to the innings was given by the man himself Virat Kohli who struck a swashbuckling 70* off just 29 deliveries to help his side post an almost futile target of 240 runs.

West Indies in reply never looked comfortable chasing a havoc target and perished under pressure for 173 in their penultimate 20-overs.

Rohit's sweet gesture towards his daughter

Right after his amazing knock, Rohit Sharma was seen sharing a sweet gesture with his daughter from the Wankhede Stadium pavilion's balcony. Her daughter was present along with his better-half enjoying daddy Rohit Sharma's explosive innings.

Mumbai Indians official twitter handle captured this fascinating moment and posted it. Here's the video:

Once the video was posted, the Twitteratis erupted in large numbers and flooded the post with replies.

As of now, the T20 series is done and dusted with Indian clinching 2-1. The action will now shift into the 3 match ODI series which is scheduled to commence from December 15th at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
