Watch: Yellove between Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni on CSK Reunion ahead of IPL 2020

Chennai Super Kings official social media handles on Tuesday, posted a video of MS Dhoni being greeted by teammate Suresh Raina who is fondly called as ‘Chinna Thala’ by the CSK fans.

Suresh Raina has been one of the main players who has been with the Chennai based franchise from Day 1. He is also one of the top run-getters in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). His consistent performances in the tournament have even entitled him to the name Mr. IPL. Raina was out of cricketing action for few months as he had to undergo a knee replacement surgery. He will be raring to showcase his fitness and skill for CSK in this season of the IPL.

Yellove between Thala and Chinna Thala

Dhoni and Raina share a close relationship with each other having been teammates in the Indian team as well as in CSK for numerous years. So, it came as no surprise that Raina and Dhoni greeted each other with a warm hug but Raina went a step further and kissed Dhoni on his neck, sending CSK fans into a frenzy on Twitter.

The elevation of MS Dhoni to a demi-god or superstar stature continues to grow day by day at Chennai Super Kings. Referred to as ‘Thala’ by the CSK fans, Dhoni enjoys a fan following in Chennai that is second to no one. The 38-year-old has not represented India since their exit from the 50-over World Cup in England last year but received a hero’s welcome after he reached Chennai to begins their preparations for the IPL 2020.

Dhoni has been out of action since the World Cup semifinal and fans are eagerly waiting to see the legendary Indian cricketer returning to action in the IPL. The 2020 edition of the tournament begins on March 29, when MS Dhoni’s CSK takes on Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. And it won’t be a surprise if we get to see half of Wankhede in yellow as Dhoni returns to the field after a long gap.
