The much anticipated second leg of the IPL 2021 is underway in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and it has been only three matches so far and the fans are already at the receiving end of some sensational performances. Today (22nd September) Delhi Capitals will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad at Dubai cricket stadium. Both the teams have some high-quality players on their side and it is expected that another nail-bitter will be on the cards.
Delhi capitals so far in the tournament has been among the best sides this season. The Rishabh Pant-led side is second on the points table and have lost only 2 matches in their 8 games while on the other hand nothing has been going right for the Kane Williamson-led side in this season as they are placed at the bottom of the table and struggled to find the suitable combination in the first leg of the tournament, managing only one win in seven games.
With the clash between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad set to take place today, cricketer-turned-commenter Aakash Chopra has predicted the winner of the clash. The former Indian batsman backed the Rishabh Pant-led side to emerge victorious in the clash.
Chopra was of the opinion that Delhi Capitals will win the watch as SRH is in the poor and if they lose one match there chances are very less to win the tournament and they will be under pressure to perform.
“I’m going with Delhi to win this match. It’s because my heart lies in Delhi and also due to SRH’s poor form in the tournament. If Hyderabad loses one more game, then that’s about it. Then SRH’s chances will come down to mathematical calculations. So SRH will be under pressure to perform well,” Chopra said on his official YouTube channel.
Shreyas Iyer’s availability will be a massive boost for Delhi Capitals and it is expected that the right-handed batsman will start in the playing XI. The openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw are in the good form and it is expected that they will continue the good form. Marcus Stoinis along with Shimron Hetmyer, Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada are likely to be the four of overseas players in the side while Axar Patel and R Ashwin are likely to be two spinners in the side.
