Pakistan and New Zealand clashed in semi-final 1 of the T20 World Cup 2022 in Sydney at SCG. It was a game that saw the Babar Azam led-side dominate from the first ball and asserts their authority. On the back of the solid performance with both bat and ball, they claimed the match and became the first finalists.

They stitched a 105-run partnership for the 1st wicket and put pressure on the Kiwi bowlers. Rizwan played his part too and went back to the hut after scoring fiery 57 runs. Mohammad Haris (30) and Shan Masood (3*) then completed the fishing duties and made sure that Pakistan have their feet in the flight to Melbourne for the final on 13th November.

Pakistan wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan was awarded Player of the Match in the semi-final against New Zealand. The right-hander played a staggering inning for his side while chasing a total of 153 runs. He came out all guns blazing and smashed Pakistan bowlers all over the park for his 57-run knock. His innings included 5 fours.
