Born on 22nd August 1996, Phillip is a right-arm fast-medium pacer, who made his First-Class debut for Trinidad and Tobago in 2017-16 and then two years later made his List A debut as well.

In 2021, he made his debut for West Indies in ODI and then was a part of the Test squad as well and then finally today he got his chance.

West Indies debutant Anderson Phillip didn’t take much time to assert his authority in the Test cricket as he castled the stumps of  Mahmudul Hasan Joy on the second ball of his career. He bowled a fuller-length delivery that came back in sharply off the seam and sneaked through to hit the top of the leg-stump.
