Debuting for England in tests at Lords in 2003, where he claimed his first test wicket against Zimbabwe, James Anderson in 2018 became the most prolific seam bowler in Test cricket, where he surpassed Glenn McGrath’s tally of 563 wickets, against India at The Kia Oval.

The English pacer spearhead is currently placed fourth on the list of leading wicket-takers in Test cricket with 617 wickets in his bag. If James Anderson takes two wickets in the upcoming five-Test series against India, he can go past Indian legend Anil Kumble’s tally of 619 wickets to become the third-highest wicket-taker in the longest format of the game.
