After winning the toss, Gladiators opted to field first and invited Chtiwan Tigers to set the target. After a shaky start of 24-3, Tigers managed 139/8 on the scoreboard at the end of 20 overs with the help of crucial 56 from DS Airee. M Naveed finished 3-24 and was the pick of bowlers for Gladiators.

Coming to chase, Gladiators too felt early jolts and were reduced 20-3 but PS Airee (42 of 38) didn’t lose his calm on the other end and helped his side cope up from the blow. Little cameos from RK Paudel (24 of 14) and K Malla (27 of 13) ensured a win for Gladiators with 4 wickets remaining and 10 balls to spare.

Earlier in the Qualifier 1 between Kathmandu Kings XI and Lalitpur Patriots, Patriots turned out to be the winner by just 1 wicket in a low scoring affair. Put into bat, Kings managed 108 runs on board in the first innings and suffered 1 wickets loss on the last delivery of the match.        

Now, tomorrow’s clash will reveal who will be locking horns with Lalitpur Patriots on Saturday’s final for the EPL3 title.
