Competition: ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021
Date: 18 October
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Ground: Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi
Pitch Report: As seen in the first game on this venue, there was some swing on offer in the early part of the game but the conditions were perfect for the batsmen. Even though this will be a day-night fixture, the conditions are expected to be same but the spinners could get some purchase. The par score will remain around 160-170 with dew playing an important role. Therefore, it will be a good choice of decision to win the toss and opt to bowl first.
It will be a great move to pick more of Sri Lanka players in your respective dream fantasy cricket teams as they are the in-form team. Since it is the opening stage of the tournament, it will be a good decision to include more of batters and all-rounders to increase the chances of winning big contests. The likes of David Wiese, JJ Smit, Wanindu Hasaranga and Dasun Shanaka remain the must pick players for this exciting contest.
WICKET-KEEPERS: Kusal Perera
BATSMEN: Avishka Fernando, Craig Williams, Stephan Baard
ALL-ROUNDERS: David Wiese, JJ Smit, Wanindu Hasaranga, Dasun Shanaka

Sri Lanka will start as the overwhelming favourites to win this match due to their superb performance in the shorter format in the recent while. Both of their players in the batting as well as bowling departments are quite experienced and have been in a good form. On the other hand, Namibia will also be hoping to put up a strong fight in this match as they have also done well in T20 cricket recently.
The Sri Lankan side will be aiming to do well both with the bat and ball. The Sri Lankan team management would want the likes of Avishka Fernando, Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Dinesh Chandimal to take the responsibility in this game. Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmantha Chameera, Akila Dananjaya and Maheesh Theekshana have been really good with the ball and they would want to continue the good work.
Sri Lanka leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga had delivered remarkably well with the ball in the recent home limited-overs series against South Africa. Wanindu has taken 3 wickets in 2 matches, however, he has not got much of support from the batsmen. He is currently the No.2 ranked T20I bowler in the ICC T20I Rankings. Wanindu Hasaranga was also the Player of the Series during the last T20I series against India at home.
Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka has sensational capabilities to contribute well both in the batting as well as bowling departments. The power hitting all-rounder has scored more than 2500 runs in the shortest format of the game so far at a phenomenal strike-rate of 145. He has also taken as many as 34 wickets at an economy of 8.64. Dasun Shanaka has also been an important performer for Sri Lanka in limited-overs cricket.

For Namibia, it will be really important to continue the winning momentum both in the batting as well as bowling departments from their previous T20 wins. The trio of Stephan Baard, Craig Williams and JJ Smit will have to take the responsibility in the batting department. On the other hand, Ben Shikongo, Bernard Scholtz and David Wiese will form part of the bowling attack and they will be looking to pick wickets on regular basis.
Namibia’s all-rounder David Wiese delivered remarkably well in the recently concluded edition of the Caribbean Premier League T20 2021. He had a brilliant domestic season and has been effective both with the bat and ball in the shortest format of the game. Wiese has smacked more than 2800 runs after playing 267 T20 matches so far that includes six fifties. The right-arm seam bowler has also taken 208 wickets.
For Namibia, JJ Smit smashed an impressive innings of 48 runs off 34 balls against Papua New Guinea in the UAE Summer T20 Bash. He has picked up nearly 50 wickets at an economy of 7.22. JJ Smit has also scored more than 500 runs while playing 52 T20 matches that includes a career-best of 59. He will surely be an important player for Namibia leading into the T20 World Cup.
